Chris Opsahl

WordPress Support Lead

Chris and Bryan worked together back in the early ’00s and kept stumbling into the same problem for their clients: down-right bad website hosts. After plenty of trial and error, they realized the only way to do right by their clients was to simply do it themselves.

One important part of doing it right? Security.

Chris is Cinch’s security expert and he works every day to keep our clients’ sites safe, functional and free of malware. In addition to managing security, Chris is a well-rounded techie: he is super capable of handling all aspects of your digital presence. To put it simply, Chris is a man of many hats.

What’s your philosophy on maintaining WordPress sites?
Part of owning a website is being responsible for its maintenance. A neglected site will not function properly for your customers, puts them (and you) at risk for malware, and ranks poorly with the search engines. Most business owners don’t have the desire to be their own IT staff, so that’s where we come in. What’s your favorite quote?
“It’s 106 miles to Chicago, we’ve got a full tank of gas, a half pack of cigarettes, it’s dark, and we’re wearing sunglasses. Hit it” — Blues Brothers When I grow up, I want to be…
An art history professor. Fun fact people don’t know about you?
I can draw right or left-handed. If I could travel or live anywhere in the world, it would be?
Anywhere with a beach and a boat, ±12˚ of the equator. Why Cinch?
Cinch has been helping businesses get the most out of their websites through premium hosting and site maintenance since 2007. We’re trustworthy, reliable and we’ll be here when you need us.
